Fears and Tears

A/N: I haven't posted in a while, so I dug this out of the recesses of my poetry files. Enjoy.

Why do you hide your fears from Me?

Why do you silence your tears, as if I cannot see?

What thoughts could you possess, that I do not already know?

Child, that is not the way you grow.

Tell Me your fears; I am bigger than they.

Give Me your tears; I’ll wipe them away.

Do not pretend as if I’m not here at all.

It does pain Me, each time, to see you fall.

I love you, My precious child dear.

Do you not hear

When I whisper it in your ear?

I hold you close, every day,

To hold your tears at bay

And banish your fears away.

If you did not hear Me, hear me now:

I love you: My word is My vow.

If you did not feel My arms wrap around you tight,

Feel Me now: There is none greater than My might.
